| delete the message in the body of the text you are responding to. My Z has steady idle at 750 rpm and the only time it increases is when the AC switch is pressed for AC. There is a click at the compressor and the idle increases to about 900 rpm due to increased load.
As far as dealing with idle issues we need to know what maintance you have done. This site is full of this subject so search is your friend. The Z is very sensitive to voltage therefore all connectors need to be claen and free of corrosion. Notorious is the coolant temp sensor connector. So start there to clean. Use contact cleaner available at radio Shack or auto stores. Might also need to scrub with tooth brush and baking soda and water then use the contact cleaner to remove all residue. When clean fill connector with dielectric grease to greatly reduce moisture and resultant corrosion. Systematically do this for all connectors you can reach like cam sensor, O2 sensors, MAS sensor, 6 coils, 6 injectors, etc. Hard to remove early style connector especially at injectors- need sharp pick tool and a telescoping magnet to grab retaining clip. Clean the battery posts and cable clamps then add dielectric grease to post and clamps. Do a throttle body clean. Check setting of throttle position sensor per FSM. Well the list continues in search
